HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Light winds will continue throughout the beginning of this holiday week. A weak cold front passed over Kauai and Oahu early Monday morning, leading to the dry and stable weather pattern over the state’s western half. The front has since dissipated over Maui, and winds will slowly shift to be more northeasterly over the next several days.
Minimal rainfall is expected throughout this week. A few windward showers are expected, but the overall pattern will be dry. The best chance for showers will be over the windward portions of Maui and Hawaii Island.
We are also tracking a large NW swell that could trigger High Surf Warnings on Friday and Saturday. Check back here often for the latest surf updates.
