WW2 USAAF Tool Box
Original WW2 USAAF "rigger made" tool box using materials salvaged from aircraft ammunition boxes, reddish-brown fiberboard construction with riveted natural finish aluminum edging and lid hinge, OD green painted aluminum corners at bottom, steel lid latch, and folding steel handle with black plastic covering and OD green painted aluminum base. Measures 15 3/4 x 5 3/4 x 6 inches, weight 3.75 pounds. No markings. Light areas of surface oxidation to some of the aluminum strips but no holes or other damage and will clean much better if desired. No cracks or other damage to fiberboard. Interesting piece for any collector of the fiberboard aircraft ammo boxes or military tools/tool box collection and is in very good condition. Any questions please feel free to ask.
