Description
This is an ORIGINAL
empty
box of issue which once contained ten (10) tinned Carlisle Bandages of the type issued to GI's for field use in WWII. The box is constructed of tan card stock or light cardboard, with folding ends which interlock to seal the box, and is 2.375" deep x 5.25" wide x 8.375" high. The box is well-marked (see image below) and is 1943-dated and attributed to the "Handy-Pad Supply Company" of Worcester, Massachusetts.  Every GI carried one of these bandages in a bandage pouch on either his cartridge or pistol belt. The box,
although empty
(see my other eBay listing for the bandages themselves), would make an excellent "prop" for a field hospital unit or similar display.
The box can be inexpensively mailed "knocked down" in a flat rate priority envelope for about -9 postage, so ignore the higher postage which eBay erroneously inserts in my listings.
The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and satisfaction and a five-day (
not the 14-days that they insert in my listings without my consent
) right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.
