    Description

    Set of four
    78 rpm records
    D Day, June 6, 1944
    National Broadcasting Company (NBC)
(Private recordings; not for public performance)
This is a set of four two-sided 78 rpm records by the National Broadcasting ompany.  "The records in this album contain excerpts from the announcements, commentary, speeches and prayers which were recorded while they were being broadcast  over the network of the National Broadcasting Company on the day the Allies invaded France, Tuesday, June 6, 1944." There is a business card from Niles Trammell, President of NBC, paper-clipped to one of the record sleeves. He was president of NBC from 1940-1949.
The records are all in paper sleeves, which are all in a hard cover notebook type slip case. The case has some wear at the edges and corners. The records appear to be in very nice condition. I do not see any scratches. The original padded packing is inside the front and back of the case.
