It looks to be
bakelite.
-The handle measures approximately
3 23/32"
long.
The escutcheon measures approximately
1 15/32"
across from hole center to hole center.
Application:

Condition:
This is in good condition for the age.
Handles:
The handle looks good overall and moves smoothly in the escutcheon. There are three hairline cracks in the bakelite, two on the face extending to the neck and one on the neck. Everything is holding together fine, but we want you to know.
Escutcheon
: Looks very good with no cracks or breaks. It turns smoothly. There is some nickel plate surface finish loss revealing the brass underneath.
